Penshurst Place Wedding
On 25th May we played our first wedding of 3 in a row. A fabulous Penshurst Place wedding. And it was a fantastic experience! We were returning after some time to the beautiful Penshurst Place in Kent. Previously we had performed at another wedding in the marquee which is impressive with the black and white check dance floor and led lights in the black cloth above. But this time we were in the very grand Baron’s Hall. What a place!
The wedding was for Richard & Victoria. We had to set up at 4pm in order to be sound checked and out before 6pm. The room was frantically being set up for the wedding by all the suppliers at this time due to the hall being open to the public until this time.
First Dance
For Richard & Victoria’s first dance, we were asked to play Oasis’ Wonderwall. Not one we’ve played before for a first dance, but it worked and went down really well. We followed it up with the first of 3 live sets, filling all the gaps with disco in between.

We were booked by Victoria’s parents, so all our dealings were with them. They sent us some great feedback which reads:

Penshurst Place Wedding Venue
Penhurst Place is an amazing and luxurious wedding venue to say the least. We’ve performed at over 180 wedding venues now across the country and this was most certainly amongst the very finest. The grounds are amazing and when you drive towards the main building, it is very impressive indeed. As said before, we were in the Barons Hall which has an incredible timber roof structure and great working fire pit in the middle of the room.
What was also great, the sound was really good! We didn’t have any problems with too much echo (which you can get with large high ceiling solid buildings.
The staff were honestly really friendly. We had the pleasure of dealing with Nikki, Lauren and Jane on the night who really looked after us. (Thanks for the massive ‘green room’ for the evening as well!) Our client fed us (thanks) which was a main meal which was very tastey indeed!
