Award Winning Live Wedding Band – The RockPins have done it again! On Thursday 15th November 2018 we attended the prestigious Kent Wedding Awards in Maidstone having entered for the category of ‘Wedding Entertainment Live Act of the Year 2019’. This is the best wedding awards that we’re aware of, a real classy affair attracting a large number of Kent finest wedding suppliers from venues to photographers, cake designers to toastmasters. Matt (our singer and bass player) has attended the awards 3 times now, and its always been a blast. And twice out of the last 3 years, The RockPins have won! Yessssss!!!

And each year the competition steadily becomes better and better, so this year was even more satisfying. Why did we win? We don’t know exactly what made us stand out above the others. But we think our greatest selling point is our client feedback. Any one can put together a great video or audio recording. But unless you’ve seen us play, the best thing you have to go on is client feedback. And fortunately for us, we get some really lovely feedback from our clients and fellow suppliers.

Click: KWA2019Winners . We also entered the Bridebook awards last year and won the ‘Platinum Award – Certificate of Excellence’ which is based entirely on reviews. This is an excellent tool for couples getting married and we always recommend it to couples and suppliers alike. We have entered it again this year so fingers crossed! You can see our listing on Bridebook here; RockPins Listing. We entered The Wedding Industry Awards in 2017 and were awarded a ‘Highly Commended’ certificate. We decided not to enter these awards in 2018.

Live Wedding Bands Competition

Since we stared entering the awards 3 years ago, we have seen our competitors join in. There are some great bands in Kent offering all sorts of gimmicks to attract clients, such as brining one of their family members along to take photos all night, or giving out blow up guitars. The RockPins aren’t into gimmicks. We’re a live band playing great live music, and that seems to be enough for our clients! However, if you want some blow up guitars, we’ll happily pop down the party shop and get a bag full. And if you’ve booked a live band, a venue, a cake, a wedding dress and a photo booth, but forgot to book a photographer, well, you better book the band that brings their dad with them to take photographs all night!!
