Castle Wedding Reception
On Friday 21st June 2019, The RockPins had the pleasure of providing Live Music (& disco) at at castle wedding reception in Kent. We were back at the fabulous Lympne Castle. The weather was perfect for such a beautiful venue. We hadn't been there for a while so it was good to be back. This time it was for a lovely couple; Scott and Samantha. The day started pretty badly for us as the M20 was shut at Junction 7. So Matt had a 2 and a half hour journey through the county lanes, stuck behind a caravan for about 10 miles! Fortunately, we always leave plenty of time, so were all there before the 6pm arrival.
Following the wedding breakfast and the speeches, the wedding party made there way into another room whilst the main hall was turned around the the evening reception. We got in and set up and sound checked. After introducing the cutting of the wedding cake, we got the first dance under way followed by 3 sets of live music with disco in all the breaks.
It was a small, intimate wedding reception, but the atmosphere was big! A really nice bunch of people who were definitely up for a party which made our job easy! A great night, thanks for hiring The RockPins!
Say cheese! Matt, Nick and Jack in a cheesy pose outside on the garden area at Lympne Castle overlooking the beautiful country and the coast. We had a few minutes spare before we could get in the room and set up so made the most of this lovely venue on a summer's day.
