Wedding Entertainment

On 20th July 2019 The RockPins were providing the wedding entertainment at a private residence in Barham, Canterbury. What an awesome wedding reception! It was a great way to end July before we all took a short summer break.

The wedding was Kieran and Sarah's in a beautiful setting overlooking rolling countryside. The wedding breakfast and reception were in a large marquee which meant we could set up during the wedding breakfast / speeches.

Once the speeches were over, we were free to sound check. Then cutting of the cake followed by the first dance which was the original version of All of Me by Joh Legend. Following this we played our first set. We knew immediately it was going to be a cracking night - great crowd on the dance floor which was maintained throughout the night.

Blackbird Catering - Great Food!

We don't normally have a paragraph on the caterers, but the food was fantastic so it needed a mention. When we turned up there were 2 GIANT paellas; one fish and the other chicken and chorizo. The catering staff asked us to help ourselves and we did. It was seriously tasty. Unfortunately we didn't take any photos, but it was amazing! Then later in the evening, they did jacket potatoes cooked in an oven from the 1800's with various toppings. Yes, we had this too - very nice indeed. (We were actually fortunate enough to run into the same catering company at another wedding a couple of weeks later and the food was equally good).
